As vivid as the constellations it is inspired from, Ajrakh print is one of the most aesthetically appreciated and painstakingly difficult Indian textile art. Dating back to Indus valley civilisation, Ajrakh has been patronised by rulers of the Kutch region. It is printed with natural resist paste made up of organic materials like gum, lime, etc. Ajrakh is meticulously mordanted and dyed as many times a block is used to create various patterns on the fabric. Dyed in organic colours derived from natural extracts, Ajrakh printing imparts great intensity of colours to the fabric
The multiple processes of printing, mordanting, dyeing and washing makes Ajrakh one of the slowest and difficult to produce textiles. But its beauty is such that the product is never enough.
Our collection is an ode to this traditional art form from Kutch and beautifully blends the traditional prints with fresh, modern and contemporary silhouettes.

Note: The model is of height 5’6″ and is wearing size S. The dress comes with pockets.
